IIFT Admission Notifications 2011 | Indian Institute of Foreign Trade Admission Notification
ELIGIBILITY
Recognized Bachelor’s degree of minimum 3 years duration in any discipline. Candidate appearing for a qualifying examination can also apply subject to submission of proof of requisite qualification by 7th October 2011. No age limit.
RESERVATION
Seats are reserved as per Government of India rules. The reservations are subject to candidates meeting the admission requirement of the Institute under different categories.
For Foreign Nationals / NRI / Children of NRIs:
Seats are reserved for foreign nationals, NRIs and children of NRIs and the admission is considered on the basis of General Management Aptitude Test (GMAT) score of which should not have been declared before 1st January 2009 and should be received by the Institute latest by 31st March 2011.
MODE OF ADMISSION
Selection will be on the basis of Written Test, Group Discussion, Essay Writing and Interview. Written Test will be held on SUNDAY 28th November 2010 during 10.00 a.m – 12.00 noon at Ahmedabad, Allahabad, Bangalore, Bhubeneshwar, Chandigarh, Chennai, Coimbatore, Dehradun, Delhi, Guwahati, Hydrabad, Indore, Jaipur, Jamshedpur, Kochi, Kolkata, Lucknow, Mumbai, Nagpur and Visakhapatnam. Based on the marks of Written Test, a limited number of candidates will be invited for second phase of selection process comprising Group Discussion, Essay Writing and Interview to be held at Bangalore, Chennai, Delhi, Hyderabad, Kolkata, Lucknow and Mumbai. IIFT reserves the right to add/delete any centre, if required.

Sri Venkateswara University, Tirupati was established in 1954, in the world famous temple town of Tirupati on the sprawling campus of 1000 acres with a panoramic and pleasant hill view. This University stands as a testimony to the wisdom and foresight of great visionaries Late Sri Tanguturi Prakasam Pantulu, the then Chief Minister of Andhra Pradesh and Late Sri Neelam Sanjeeva Reddy, to cater to the educational needs and aspirations of the people of Rayalaseema area. With a great wisdom, the founder of this University have rightly coined the motto “Wisdom lies in proper perspective” for it. The University has grown excellently from strength to strength over the past fifty-two years, as a premier institute of higher learning under the able and committed leaderships of successive Vice-Chancellors starting from Prof. S. The University of Mysore is among the foremost institutions of its kind, and is an enduring symbol in the sphere of higher education in India. It was founded by the then Maharaja of Mysore, His Highness Sri Krishnaraja Wodeyar IV and his Dewan, the renowned engineer – statesman, Sir M.Visvesvaraya, on July 27, 1916. The Maharaja of Mysore became its first Chancellor. A Bill to establish and incorporate the University was introduced in Mysore Legislative Council in 1916. It was passed unanimously on 17th July 1916. The first meeting of the University Council was held on 12th August 1916 and the first meeting of the Senate on 12th October 1916.
The University of Mysore became the first University outside the domain of the English administration in India, the sixth University in India as a whole, and the first ever University in Karnataka. During the institution of the University in 1916, four faculties were constituted viz., Arts, Science, Engineering and Technology, and Medicine. Seperate Boards of Studies and Boards of Examiners were constituted in 28 subjects. The University was also administering 12 other educational institutions.

The University has recognized the Research Supervisors in different disciplines and has registered a number of scholars. It has a Research Committee with the Vice Chancellor as the Chairman. Registration of the scholars is made following their presentation before research committee in order to promote quality research.
At present Maharaja Ganga Singh, University Bikaner has 92 colleges affiliated to it falling in Bikaner, Churu, Hanumnagarh and Sriganganagar districts of Rajasthan. Out of these 14 are Govt. Colleges and the rest are Private ones. In the year 2005 about one lakh students appeared in different examinations of the University. Besides regular academic courses, the University runs a number of professional courses including BCA, MCM, PGDCA, BBA, MBA, PGDSM, BFA, B.Ed., M.Ed., B.P.Ed., LL.B, LL.M, Diploma in Labour Law, Diploma in Criminology, Microbiology, Biotechnology and Biochemistry.
From the session 2004-2005 the University has started its own Law Department self and has admitted students to the first year of LL.B. In the same session, the University has conducted inter-college tournaments and the teams of the University have also participated in Inter-University meets.
